Description
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Neighbourhood Regeneration Manager at a Central London Borough Council that has an excellent reputation for creating and delivering high profile and sustainable regeneration projects. As a key member of the Area Regeneration Team, you will manage two members of staff in conjunction with coordinating and deliver physical regeneration projects in some of London's most famous and sought after growth and opportunity areas. Your primary objective will be to take projects inception, through design, planning and development working with internal and external partners. In addition, this is a relatively unique opportunity as you will facilitate the development of council owned sites and drive "Self-Delivery" projects that play a meaningful role reshaping the built environment to the advantage of the Local Community.<br><br>This will incorporate a broad range of development from strategic office schemes to innovative estate regeneration projects. Furthermore you will be given full license to evolve growth strategies, develop partnerships and deliver redevelopment projects on council owned assets that may also include land acquisition, site assembly and facilitate JV's. Duties Include;<br><br>Successful candidates will have acquired practical experience in Regeneration Project or Programme Management in either the public or private sectors delivering improvements to the built environment or public realm.<br><br>Applications are welcome from candidates from a diverse range of professional backgrounds from one or more of the following areas including planning, design, property development or economic development. <li>Delivery regeneration projects from inception, design to implementation encompassing</li><li>Direct line management of two members of staff</li><li>Monitor the work of team members</li><li>Manage and coordinate budgets</li><li>Produce bids and secure project funding</li><li>Coordinate a diverse range of projects encompassing residential, mixed use development, public realm enhancements and estate redevelopment projects</li><li>Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams consisting of urban design, planning policy, development management, highways and transportation professionals</li><li>Undertake complex negotiations with land owners and prepare formal agreements</li><li>Manage extensive stakeholder and community consultation</li><li>Undertake viability studies</li><li>Balance competing interests sensitively and manage a process of change across a diverse range of communities</li><li>Develop positive and cohesive relationships, networks and partnerships</li>
