Description
Cyber Security IT Analyst<br><br>An exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security IT Analyst to work for an award winning organisation. This client is renowned for providing innovative and technical solutions to customers globally . They are now looking for a Cyber Security IT Analyst to join the their technology directorate, and support in identifying potential cyber threat to the technical infrastructure.<br><br><b>What the role entails:</b><br><br>*Identifying potential issues and escalating those that have significant impacts on the business into incidents<br><br>*Managing the Cyber Security Operations Centre support queue and mailbox to ensure calls are dealt with in a timely manner<br><br>*Responding and investigating security breaches of security policies<br><br>*Producing regular Risk and Incident Management metrics for all aspects of the CSOC service, and reviewing the effectiveness of related controls<br><br>*Assisting in the production and presentation of Cyber awareness training<br><br>*Ensuring all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner<br><br>*Reviewing IT Security practices and policy to ensure their effectiveness in improving the security posture<br><br>*Continuously updating knowledge on general and specific organisational threats<br><br><b>To be considered for the role, you will require the following:</b><br><br>*Proven experience of working in an Information Security role within a large business<br><br>*Extensive background in IT system and networks, identify and managing potential issues and threats<br><br>*Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br><br>*Ability to absorb in new information and make sound judgements<br><br>*Strong influencing and negotiating skills<br><br><b>Desirable attributes would include:</b><br><br>*Completed appropriate Information Security related training eg an ISO27001 course, Certified Information Security Manager, Computing Information Security Degree, etc.<br><br>*Qualification to CISSP, SSCP level or other relevant/equivalent Information Security qualification<br><br>*Experience of working with HMG policy, and or working knowledge of the principles of ISO 27001.<br><br>*Qualified GIAC Security Essentials, GIAC Certified Incident Handler or GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst<br><br>Please note that this role is via an umbrella company<br><br>Qualserv Consulting Ltd is acting as a Recruitment Consultancy/Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy and advert.
